ABOUT THE EVENT
Write Here: Westport is a community placemaking and writing project that will take place throughout the month of August. Each day, a different spot in the community will host a one-hour write-in, led by Bassin, the Library’s August Maker-in-Residence.
The events are designed for writers of all ages and all levels of writing experience, and they celebrate all of the defining places that make Westport unique.
Each Write Here: Westport event will begin with a special, brief introduction to the day’s location, followed by a quick free-write using that location as our writing prompt. Each event will culminate with an opportunity to share and listen to others’ responses. Attend all of the events. Or just attend a few. All Write Here: Westport events are designed to be inclusive and fun.
For this 8/12 edition of WRITE-HERE: Westport, participants should BYO-lawn chair.
Post-event OPTION: BYO-lunch to enjoy on the lawn after the writing project has wrapped.
RAIN-OR-SHINE.
