THE LEVITT PAVILION'S 35th SEASON OF
FREE DELIGHTS UNDER THE STARS

The Levitt Pavilion for the
Performing Arts will celebrate its
35th birthday this summer and once
again over 50 nights of FREE
entertainment will be offered, with
a different format each evening to
suit all ages and tastes.

WESTPORT ROTARY CONTRIBUTES TO THE
TEMPORARY MAINSTAGE
June 14, 2007, Freda Welsh, Executive Director
Lois Schine, President of the
Westport Rotary Club, announced that
the Rotary, an original supporter of
the Levitt Pavilion in 1973, will
give a gift of $25,000 to the
construction of the new temporary
MainStage at the Pavilion so that
programs may continue this summer.

SAFETY CONCERNS FOR THE LEVITT PAVILION NECESSITATE A TEMPORARY
MAINSTAGE AS AN INTERIM SOLUTION

Based on a recent in-depth study by an independent
engineering firm, the 34-year old
Levitt Pavilion band-shell has been
declared unsafe for further use by
Westport building officials, and is
scheduled for immediate demolition.
